Authorization & How It Works (Your Role)

This page explains your role and the authority you give StopCollectors so we can prepare and send documents "on your behalf" — clearly and cleanly. You stay in control of everything.

You Are the Principal and Decision-Maker

You — the consumer — are the principal and decision-maker. You decide what to say, which defenses to raise, and any settlement amount you are willing to offer or accept. Every choice in your matter is yours.

StopCollectors Acts Only as Your Authorized Agent

StopCollectors acts only as your authorized agent to prepare documents based on your inputs and transmit them at your direction — for example, filing your court response or mailing your letters. We act on your instructions; we do not act on our own judgment about your legal strategy.

You Approve and Sign Before Anything Is Sent

You review, approve, and e-sign each document before it is sent. We send nothing without your sign-off. If you want a change, you tell us, and we revise the document until you approve it.

What StopCollectors Is Not

StopCollectors does not give legal advice, does not represent you, and is not a law firm. Our templates are reviewed by a licensed attorney, but they are not a substitute for one. If you need legal advice about your specific situation, consult a licensed attorney in your state — and we can help connect you with one when your matter needs it.

You Can Withdraw This Authorization at Any Time

This authorization can be withdrawn at any time. Just let us know, and we will stop preparing or transmitting documents on your behalf.
