Terms of Service
Last updated: March 2026
Nature of our services
StopCollectors is a self-help document-preparation service. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice or legal representation. We prepare documents — court responses, debt-validation letters, and settlement offers — based on the information and instructions you give us, so you can respond to and resolve your own debt matter.
You are the decision-maker. You review, approve, and sign every document. Nothing is sent without your authorization; we prepare and transmit documents only at your direction. Use of our services does not create an attorney-client relationship.
Our templates are reviewed by a licensed attorney, but they are not a substitute for an attorney. We do not guarantee any particular outcome. If you need legal advice about your specific situation, consult a licensed attorney in your state — and we can help connect you with one when your matter needs it.
No Legal Advice
The information provided on this website and through our services is for informational purposes only. It does not constitute legal advice. For legal advice specific to your situation, consult a licensed attorney in your state.
Accuracy of Information
You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information about your case. The quality of our documents depends on the accuracy of the information you provide.
Fees and Payment
Fees are as published on our pricing page and are due at the time of service. All fees are non-refundable once document preparation has begun, except as otherwise stated.
Limitation of Liability
StopCollectors is not responsible for the outcome of any legal proceedings. We prepare documents but do not guarantee any particular result. Our liability is limited to the amount of fees paid for our services.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California without regard to conflict of law principles.
Changes
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
